Rich & Judy Woods led the COTV run to Yuma to meet up
with the Arizona Corvette Enthusiast (A.C.E.)

Made a quick stop at Buckman Springs to stretch and tinkle

We arrived in Yuma and met up with the ACE group at Famous Dave's for lunch. . .mmmm good!

After a great lunch everyone assembled for the start of the scavenger hunt. We didn't have to find a spool of
thread this time but finding the pay phone on the list proved to be a little tricky, turned out to be a good challenge.

We then checked into the hotel, took a short nap to sleep off a great lunch, had a couple cocktails and chatted with
the great folks of ACE, afterwhich a few of us went to Chetis Mexican restaurant for a filling dinner.

A day of wonderful weather, great friends, beautiful Vettes, delicious food, and lots of fun!

Speaking of fun, Thanks to Carole and George Nix for hosting the party after dinner.
George made some great margaritas for everyone and we enjoyed talking, joking around and laughing (mostly at me).

On the way home, Rich had warned us not to speed going through El Centro and boy was he right! I've never
seen so many cops in cars and helicopters anywhere. Our ticket detectors were lighting up for miles!
At one point there was a helicopter flying very low coming right at me from the drivers side, he clocked our caravan
for a minute then took off. But that wasn't the end of it, lots more hits for miles and miles.  We just cruised at the
speed limit and enjoyed the drive. then we had to go through several border patrol checks. At one check they had a guy
cuffed and had a dog going through his car sniffing for . . . .well you know, the goofy stuff.
