Driving your car on the closed course (one at a time)
will reinforce how much better the car’s handling & tires are
than your driving skills. It will also give you the option to improve those skills.

You are only competing with yourself. Don’t worry about being the low
time of the day. Some 16 year old in a clapped out GTI with mismatched
fenders will remind you why you will want to keep your day job.

.

PRICE: $75 Early Signup Fee ($85 at the Gate)
(This entitles you to TWO days of Autocross, but one day is
plenty for me.)

NOTE: There is a $15 gate fee for all drivers, spectators, friends, and family.

.

DRIVERS SHOULD BRING:
Helmet
(they have loaners-but who wants to put on someone else’s sweaty helmet)
Tire Gauge and Compressor to fill your Tires
A note pad and pen to record your times
Chair (to rest your weary bones between sessions)
Something to Drink (you will be thirsty)
Your Lone Ranger Lunch Box & a couple of Sandwiches & maybe some chips
(or purchase at track)

.

SPECTATORS SHOULD BRING
Chair (who wants to sit on the ground anyway)
Something to Drink (it can get hot out there)
Your Hello Kitty Lunch Box & a couple of Sandwiches & maybe some chips
(or purchase at track)

(Rob will bring a shade.)

.

Email the Webmaster so he can tell you about any changes in the program.

Register for AUTOCROSS at Auto Club Speedway

When you register, select SATURDAY, select the $89 option , tell them about your car and select “Don’t want timing” (that’s what the pad and pen are for),

  1. Drivers under 18 must have a parent present and/or submit a signed waiver at registration. No passengers under 18 years of age are allowed. See their FAQ page for full details.
  2. You must have a Snell rated helmet (either Auto or Motorcycle) rated 2010 or newer. The preferred helmet is an SA rated helmet. If you do not have a helmet and cannot obtain or borrow one, please go back to step 6 to rent one from us.

You have to have a full helmet (plastic covers your ears). And don’t forget the Carte Blanche option which allows you to run in all the groups so you
only have to take a break when you want to.

The regular option ($89) means this: the organizers will divide the drivers into two or more groups. If more drivers arrive during the day, other groups may be added. Lets say there are two run groups, A and B. A group lines up to run and the group runs one car after another for a half hour or so. Then B group lines up to run and the group runs one car after another for a half hour or so. This continues until lunch. After lunch the groups start where they left off until the day ends. the Carte Blanche option allows you to run in group A and then in group B and then in group A, and so on, until you drop from exhaustion.
